FORTRAN g77 and PFE

FORTRAN g77 is a free compiler provided by the Free Software Foundation's GNU Project. To create the source files you can use any text editor (my favorite is PFE).  Instructions for both FORTRAN g77 and PFE are available below.

Software download

• Fortran g77 download web pages: tripod web site or geocities web site - follow the instructions in the document "Getting started with Fortran g77" (see above) to download and install the software.

• PFE download web page

• ETIME download web pages: tripod web site or geocities web site

  • Download the file etime.zip from either web site

  • Extract the files etime.exe and etime.txt to the folder c:\G77 in your computer.

  • Read the file "readme1" in your c:\G77 folder for instructions

• ForUtil - a collection of Fortran 77 utilities
