
Course Overview
This course is an introduction to digital communication systems. We will analyze and characterize continuous-time and discrete-time models for communication over additive white Gaussian noise channels. Symbol timing and carrier recovery will be covered.
ANNOUNCEMENT
Dustin Rawlings will be the TA for this class. Dustin took this class a year ago and did extremely well. He is really smart and would be delighted to help you with questions on homework, programming assignments, or to clear up confusion from the lectures or the textbook. He is holding office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays this semester from 9 to 10 AM. His office is on the second floor of the Sant Building in the Information Dynamics Lab (Room 210).
