Introduction

I teach Analog and Mixed-Signal Circuit Design in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (ECE) at Utah State University. I also work with graduate and undergraduate students to research new techniques for error-correction and fault-tolerance in noisy circuits.

Announcements

Dr. Winstead's group has been awarded a 5-year grant by the National Science Foundation to develop new wireless-communication circuits for bio-implantable devices. The start date is April 1, 2010.

The State of Utah USTAR program has awarded a one-year contract to pursue the Equine Distress Monitor, developed by faculty in Electrical Engineering and Agriculture at Utah State. The start date is January 15, 2010.

The National Science Foundation awarded grant CCF-0916105 to support my group's research on soft-logic synthesis for reliable function in synthetic gene networks. This three-year award began in July 2009.
